My Dream , My Future

What is a dream all about? Do you have any?

I will describe dream in my own understanding. Dream is something that you are willing to achieve. You can make dream as your goals. It is that something that you are aiming in the future.

When I as still an elemetary sudent, I have many dreams in life. And some of those were granted already. Now that I am about to graduate in high school lot of dreams are in my head.

I want to pursue my dreams someday. I want to be a teacher because this is what my heart desires. I prefer teaching than anything else because I want to see myself teaching students like what my mother does. Eventhough I know that in the world of teaching is very difficult and full of challenges, I can say that I am brave enough to face all the obstacles that will bring me to a successful career and life.

It’s nice to see people having dreams in their lives. Dreams that will lead you to the life you wanted in the future. Do your best and God will do the rest. Always give your best shot. Remember that when you are already on top, always put your feet on the ground and never forget God for all the blessings He had given you.

Change: It Starts With Me

The dictionary defines CHANGE as to put or take (a thing) in place of something else; a substitution.

There are a lot of things that may change and we want to change. Specifically, in the field of education. Nowadays, students usually stop in their studies for so many reasons. They stop because of bad barkadas. So many vices like drinking alcohol, smoking and taking drugs, and the worst is that youths having romance in bed. Some students stop because of poverty and family problems. But we should not be hooked. They should stop doing these things. As a student, we should do our duties and responsibilities in our studies. I will be more studious in my studies and I will do my very best.

Let us make a change in order for us to be successful someday. So that we can avoid those unnecessary things that may destroy our future.

Ilocos Sur Festival 2011

Valued cultures and traditions, best known for the province of Ilocos Sur . Every first week of February, the much-awaited festival of Ilocos Sur is being celebrated. The Kannawidan Festival 2011. The meaning of that word I think is "nakagawian." All municipalities of Ilocos Sur were recquired to let somebody see their famous product, in the other term, it is One City, One Product that is why every year, a trade fare was launched.
Different contested activities were casted. Of course, the theme was all about the old and preserved cultures and traditions of Ilocos Sur. The location of the trade fare and all activities was here in Vigan. During every night, lot of artists performed infront of the Ilocos Sur Capitol.
I was impressed and full of admiration to the place called, The Land of the Free-ILOCOS SUR.

Vigan City Fiesta 2011

It has been 10 years that Biguenos are celebrating the Cityhood of Vigan. Celebrating the fiesta is such a great triumph and pride especially to the people of Vigan City . Biguenos are very proud of the said celebration because the fiesta is for the conversion of St. Paul, patron of the said City. The City celebrates its fiesta in every 25th day of January but actually it started from January 16 and it ended last January 31, 2011.

Different activities were conducted by the City. The Longganisa Festival: street dancing and showdown competition, Students and Teachers Got Talent, Carabao Painting and many more. The Vigan City launched the Grand Parade on January 25, where different organizations, institutions, schools and establishments participated in the said parade. Last January 26, the Sangguniang Kabataan Officials had their Float Parade Competition around the City. During the night, the search for Ms. Vigan Youth Ambassadress was launched. 19 SK officials from the different barangays competed for the crown. The winner was from Mindoro, Vigan City.

As a 16 year-old Bigueno, who was used to witness this celebration, wants to congratulate Mayor Eva Marie S. Medina for making Vigan City Fiesta 2011 possible and to those people who helped in the preparation of the said celebration.

Without them, we will not be able to witness and experience the valued cultures and traditions of Vigan City.

New Year, New Beginning

What does new year symbolize? How did you feel when you celebrated another year in your life?
New year, new beginning. I celebrated my new year with my family and relatives at home. Different games were played, foods were shared, and were just relished each others company.
New year symbolizes new chances. Chances that will make or break your journey as an individual.
I was so sad because 2010 is finished. That year for me was a very greatful year I've ever experienced. Even though sometimes I had regretted some decisions in my life. I did just go on with the flow.
I was not really ready yet for the year 2011, but when that year came, I just enjoyed it. I realized that another year is given to me by God so that the things that I wasn't able to finish last year, will be achieved this year.
I don't have a new year's resolution for I know already myself, that every time I will have it, I can't be able to fulfill it.
Life is all about chances, it depends on you, on how to manage it.
In my journey this year 2011, I will just do my very best to achieve my goals someday.

My Third Grading Reflection

Lessons were discussed, thoughts were shared. In my Third Grading experience in ICT IV, I learned lessons like studying html, do project with the Microsoft Window FrontPage and made different exers and applying different backgrounds.

It wasn't easy to do those things but with the help of God, I was able to make it.

Moving on, I will exert more time on ICT IV especially our project and exercises.

Magandang Pagsasamahan TUngo sa Maayos at Maunlad na Lipunan

Who among you don't want to live with a very peaceful life? I guess, there is none.

Through love, peace and care, no doubt we can achieve good relationship. Right now, we are experiencing a lot of misunderstanding around. And this may lead to unexpected happenings. To avoid this situation, all we need to do is to think positively, widen our horizon to that possible outcome and always preserve the guidance of the Lord Almighty for us not to encounter this.

A good relationship through an organized and progressive society will lead us to a better and happy life.

Where the spirit of Christmas is all we can feel. I know that love, care, sharing, peace and forgiveness are always present in every heart of everyone.

As a student of Ilocos Sur National High School, I celebrated my Christmas vacation at home and at Cabaroan, Santa Catalina. It was great and nice. I enjoyed every moment that we're together. Christmas season is such a wonderful vacation together with my family and friends. It is the time to relax and I had enjoyed each others company :)

A Worthful Week

Last October 25, 2010, someone texted me at exactly 7:55 in the morning stating the meaning/signification of SEMestral BREAK,
S-sleepful nights
E-exam free
M-morning smiles

B-batugan days
R-restful days
E-endless gala
A-and lastly
K-kahirapan, no allowance!!!
and the first thing that came into my mind was, "oh?!.., really?!!."

I spent the whole week at home. I always sleep late each night because I do watch tv. I didn't ask any money from my parents just to buy something I want because I have my own money in buying. Each day that week, I was always left alone in our house that's why I was the only one who took care of it.

I can say that my sembreak was worthful because of the recently concluded barangay and sk election. I run as SK kagawad and luckily, I won. Aside from winning that position, I was engaged in meeting new friends in our barangay. I am very happy and contented in this kind of blessings that I've received from God.

Breaking Barriers Through English

Don't you envy those people who are very fluent in English? Why do we need to learn this language?
English is the universal language. I say this because it is used by almost all country in the world. Through English, we can communicate with others. We should learn and love the English language for us to become wiser and to widen our knowledge in a wider horizon. English can give us opportunity to have a descent job and can make our life easier. Ample knowledge of the English language means you can compete world wide. Don't be afraid to face your fears especially in trying to learn in speaking the universal language.
Through English, we can break barriers that are blocking our way to success. In unity, there is strength, if you all go for development, everything will fall into its rightful places. Just believe in yourself that you can do it!

Filipinnovation, The Way Forward

In our day to day life, I can say that we are already used in so many technologies around invented by Filipinos. We should be thankful to God be proud of them for these things that they've made because without these things, we can't make our life and work easier.

Have you ever realized that these technologies and machines can affect and harm us? They are helping us to live life easier isn't? But, instead of cooperating with these things, were only letting ourselves useless. We are all innovators. As a student, I want to improve things, want to make changes and I want to develop myself to the fullest. By doing these, sooner or later, the success we've waiting for will be in the palm of our hands.

We should use these things in the right place and in the right the time with a very valid reason. We should inspire each other to work harder and continue working in our chosen fields for the improvement, enhancement and development of our crafts.

My teacher, my hero

What do you understand about heroes? Does someone need to die to be called a hero? What are their characteristics?
The dictionary defines hero as a man of great courage, nobility or one admired for his exploits. The best example of a hero for me are the teachers. Teachers are known for their ability to transform and develop young minds into better citizens of the world. They are being placed on a pedestal by most people because of their very tough work. We all know that if there are no teachers, there could be no doctors, enginners, lawyers, pilots, armies, nurses, policeman, law makers and other proffesion. Teaching is regarded as the noblest proffession in the whole wide world even though they are not properly compensated still they faithfully do their tasks well. Why do we needto attend school? Because we need to widen our horizon in all aspects in our life. If this done , we will be of help and become a role models not only to the community were we live but also to a larger scale.Teachers are really our bridge to reach our ambition in life. Why do I consider them bridge? because without their guidance, we will not be able to learn the ways of life and attain what we hope to become in the future.
We should thank God for giving us wonderful teachers because without tem I can say that we still know little about life. We need our techera guidance apart from our parents.

Reflections

During the first grading period from June to August, I can say that I had gained and learned many things that were discussed to us. From the moral values to the unending world of economics. From parts of speech to campus journalism in Filipino. From music, arts, physical education and health to the amazing world of physics. From algebra and trigonometry to the hi-tech creation of technology and livelihood education.

But before I learned all these things, I had met many difficult challenges that made or help me pursue discovering many things in life. I had experienced many nights burning the midnight oil just to finish my assignments. I had felt my toes aching in the sense that I can't walk straight, but I have to for the sake of my grades. I listened to the discussions of my teacher even if I am so sleepy. I had experienced also to go to school on weekends to do some paper works together with my group mates.

I am so blessed because I was able to face/meet those challenges in my life as a student. In the end, I am still recalling those memories, memories that made me stronger and ready to face more challenging, more difficult problems and toils in the days to come. After all, life is like that, full of challenges, challenges that will make you a better individual in the future.

Sa Pangangalaga ng Wika at Kalikasan, Wagas na Pagmamahal Talagang Kailangan

"All things are artificial, for nature is the gift of God." This is a quotation of Mr. Thomas Browne, an English physician and writer. Language is how people communicate with one another. It's a terrific tool. The daily usage of our Filipino language and taking good care of our nature will help us realize the real meaning of unity and peace.
We should give and show love, care and importance to our country especially to our nature and to our own language. One Philippines, one language, one goal. And we should give attention for it. Nature is the gift of God to us man, we should treasure and value the things around us. can you imagine a country without a permanent language? And a country that is lack of nature? Well, that explains on what a country is missing for. The people living in that country have no peace, unity and beauty at all. We are so blessed that we have our own language in communicating to others and that's one of our pride, the Filipino language.
Keep on using our own language and always preserve the nature. Be proud that you are a Filipino. Shout it in the world!

"Sa pagkaing tama at sapat wastong timbang ni baby ang katapat."

"Healthy people are those who live in healthy homes on a healthy diet in an environment equally fit for birth, growth, work, healing, and dying." This quotation of Mr. Ivan Illich says a fact. Eating is the consumption of food to sustain life. A new born baby should breastfeed by his/her mother so that the baby will be healthy.
A pregnant woman should always eat healthy foods for her baby. The key in staying healthy and strong is to eat large quantities of energy-rich foods. But if mother won't do it, the baby will be malnourished and unhealthy.
A healthy mother means a healthy baby. It is very important to eat nutritious and delicious foods in order the mother will be healthy and strong in giving birth.

LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT

Dear Mr. President,
"Leaders are not born, Leaders are made," and you are an excellent example to this saying. We are unknowingly developing leaders in ourselves through our experiences and daily life's challenges.
To you our president of the Republic of the Philippines, President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, I wish you all the very best in life, good health, long-lasting love life, righteous mind, functional heart and always preserve the guidance of the Lord Almighty.
I hope that you can successfully uplift the economic status of the Philippines as you had reiterated during the election campaign. GOOD LUCK!!!
